In collaboration with VOArchitecture EGF has been designed to respond to sustainability goals and design innovation.
The starting point for this project has been to focus on the site analysis and the environmental data to produce a design all based on a carbon free solution with the idea of implementing and upscaling the initial tests for a larger project on renewable energies and zero carbon farm design.
Technologies such as solar panels have been specified with an innovative lightweight tensile design that have never been done before. The design uses lightweight solar panels integrated in tends to be implemented in the house’s external facade .
A complex project with protected landscapes and heritage history, the site analysis was crucial to understand the constraints for the project located in an agricultural area of natural environment value.
The primary concepts for the project were research of construction techniques and local materials and analysis of natural resources while inspiring new approaches for using new technologies in farming and agriculture.
This project was a collaboration with Duck&Shed studio Architecture practice based in Notting Hill Gate . The client seeks to convert an existing gym to residential. and was seeking innovative solutions for luxury living style. The design proposed an immersive space with large glass partitions and skylights to open views to the natural lanscapes of the gardens trees and the sky.
A luxury space of 234 sqm internal space, and 45 sqm private amenity space, with a completely reconfigured ground floor providing a large entrance with views to the rear garden and to large skylights across the space. The project location is based in Fulham, it has been submitted and it is awating response.
PROJECT: 88 NOTTING HILL GATE , LONDON
A collaboration with Duck&Shed studio Architecture practice based in Notting Hill Gate , the project’s brief included facade design, a new internal office layout and retail at ground floor. The client brief was focused on designing a flexible working space with flexible tables. Chiara helped Duck&Shed to design all those features as well as present to the client , and coordinate the design for Tender drawings and fabrication .
Table plates is a playful object, the legs arrangement can be modified to create variety of designs.
It is a playful object that the user can modify to create variety of designs. The plate module size has been studied with different thickness and length to reflect different requirements.
Modelled with an accurate parametric script to optimise and to predict the weight of the table according to the
size of those plates and their specified material.
This project is a work in progress experiment that is currently tested with CNC fabrication
in a warehouse in Walthamstow London.
